This is a list of skies available in  Source 2,
 Source 2,  Source and
 Source and  GoldSrc engine games, along with pictures of each skybox. The light_environment settings listed (Ideal Sun Angle, Ideal Brightness, etc) are suggestions based on settings used in official maps; other values may also be appropriate. To test skies in singleplayer without recompiling the map, bring up the console and enter

Note:Newer or standalone games, such as the   Left 4 Dead series,  Portal 2, or  Counter-Strike: Global Offensive do not ship with nor use base HL2 content, and as such may not necessarily include these skyboxes. The skybox VTFs and VMTs from HL2 can be used in any Source engine game, however. HDR versions of all skyboxes except   Note:While Source 2004 (since  /  engine update) and Source 2006 does support HDR, no default Half-Life 2 skybox (except Lost Coast) on this branch is HDR capable. 
 
 Only outdoor maps that have both skyboxes and light_environments are referenced by this list.  Note:For clarity purposes, the skybox examples shown here have been stitched together in the style of an HDRI texture seen in modern engines. Source does not support HDRI textures. |
