bspfix is a command-line tool designed to convert
Half-Life: Blue Shift maps to the standard
Half-Life BSP format and vice versa.
Overview
bspfix effectively converts bs maps, allowing them to be used once again with modder tools. Moreover, BSPFix has the capability to convert regular
Half-Life BSPs to the
Half-Life: Blue Shift format if necessary.
History
The release of the
Half-Life: Blue Shift expansion by
Gearbox Software resulted in a modification of the format, rendering the maps incompatible with map decompilers and other tools created by modders.
Usage
To utilize BSPFix, simply drag a BSP file onto the executable and confirm the conversion by typing y at the Command Prompt.
Sample output:
bspfix ba_canal1.bsp
bspfix v1.1 by tschumann
Based on bshift_swap by prearle
Blue Shift format .bsp file
Press y to convert to Half-Life format .bsp
Press n to quitExternal links
