The game was updated on November 15, 2024 for {{hl2|name}}'s 20th anniversary. It was updated to the {{tf2branch|2}} (therefore also receiving [[VScript]] and [[$treesway]] support), adding HDR support to all the maps, and several bug fixes and map design fixes. It was also unlisted on Steam store, but after purchasing {{hl2|name}} (or getting it for free during 20th anniversary), you will have access to {{hl2dm|name}}, aswell as {{hldms|name}}<!-- during 20th anniversary, when anyone brought HL2 for free, users will also get HL2DM and HLDMS -->.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Half-Life 2: Deathmatch was released on November 30, 2004 as the multiplayer component to Half-Life 2 Half-Life 2. Gameplay is fundamentally identical to Half-Life Deathmatch: Source Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, and the multiplayer mode in Half-Life, where players get one point for each kill and they lose a point for each suicide.

The game was updated on November 15, 2024 for Half-Life 2's 20th anniversary. It was updated to the Team Fortress 2 branch Team Fortress 2 branch (therefore also receiving VScript and $treesway support), adding HDR support to all the maps, and several bug fixes and map design fixes. It was also unlisted on Steam store, but after purchasing Half-Life 2 (or getting it for free during 20th anniversary), you will have access to Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, aswell as Half-Life Deathmatch: Source.
