{{synergy|4}} is a multiplayer coop modification, allow players to play {{hl2|1}}, {{hl2lc|1}}, {{hl2ep1|1}} and {{hl2|1}} campaign in multiplayer. It also support other single-player mods.

==Overview==
Synergy requires {{hl2|1}} to be purchased to play.
Synergy focuses on giving players coop for Half-Life 2 and since Beta 2.0, some other gamemodes have been added into Synergy:  Teams (Teamplay, CTF, Last Team Standing) and Deathmatch (Classic, Last Man Standing) and a new one.

Get together with your friends and complete individual levels or series of levels, using all new weapons against new NPCs.  Or if you want to get competitive, play the Deathmatch or Teamplay gamemodes.  In Teamplay games, you join either the Combine or Rebel team, fighting with friendly NPCs and players against the opposing team.
== Overview ==
'''Players :''' Get together with friends to complete individual or serialized coop maps, using new tactics to overcome new challenges and foes.

The mod features many new customization options for level creators (custom player model system, custom NPC support, etc.), to provide more variety in levels.
'''Level Designers:''' To support a wide range of scenarios and gameplay, Synergy provides many useful features for level designers; including a very handy EDT system that allows you to tweak your entities without having to recompile your [[BSP]] after every adjustment! Synergy allows level creators to script their own story and/or mission objectives; each level can contain a number of objectives - rescue an NPC, defend a base, secure checkpoints, attack and defend, assassinate a enemy VIP, and so on.
Synergy lets level creators write up their own story and/or mission objectives.  Each level can be different with different objectivesrescue an NPC, defend a base, secure checkpoints, attack and defend, assassinate a enemy VIP and so on.

==History==
== Features ==
Before the mod was named "Synergy", it actually had two separate names: "Dev Coop" and "DC Coop 2".
* Coop gameplay through every chapter in the {{hl2|4}}, {{lostcoast|4}}, {{hl2ep1|4}} and {{hl2ep2|4}} campaigns.
At first, there were only three people working on Dev Coop and we didn't have any real plans in place to release a public version. DC Coop 2 had around six people working on their mod. They also had a Half-Life mod, named DC Coop.
* Cooperative support for the following single-player mods:
Both parties met and realised the possibilities of a merge. Today, the mod is known as Synergy and development couldn't be better: we've got a public Beta up for download and we're still working on improvements, updates and features.
** [[Calamity]]
Synergy started out as a strictly co-op only mod (in Beta 1.0) and now Synergy Beta 2.0 (and up) has shifted around a bit and turned into a multi-gameplay mod with many customization capabilities for level designers.
