(using Template:Message)  Please refrain from creating pages with zero content. Redlinks are useful for knowing what pages need to be created.

(using Template:Message)  Thank you for your note! I understand the importance of redlinks and will strive to be more vigilant about the content of any pages created in the future.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 20:15, 15 Jun 2023 (UTC) --SirYodaJedi (talk) 19:28, 15 Jun 2023 (UTC)

Image filenames

(using Template:Message)  Please refrain from using non-specific filenames such as Image003.png. File names should be based upon their contents and/or usage.

(using Template:Message)  Sorry for my mistake with the file names, and thank you for moving them.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 22:10, 23 Jun 2023 (UTC) --SirYodaJedi (talk) 18:47, 23 Jun 2023 (UTC)

Sandbox page edits

(using Template:Message)  I updated your fgd page template at User:NOUG4AT/Sandbox. Most games and mods don't have their own SDK, so it's better to avoid that wording. Additionally, I made a small (slightly messy) edit to avoid having an extra line at the start of the FGD.

(using Template:Message)  Thanks for your edits. My sandbox was a bit of a mess. Also thanks for edits to the liblist and especially g2s, etc. I appreciate your work. Also, a little off topic, I used your detail textures. And they worked well in the game. I credit you in gamebanana.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 21:13, 4 Aug 2023 (UTC) --SirYodaJedi (talk) 21:02, 4 Aug 2023 (UTC)

(using Template:Message)  Also, I don't think the Brotherhood of Arms pics really need to be deleted (they were officially released after all; they aren't leaked content). I've made a separate subcategory for those images, so they aren't effectively orpaned.

(using Template:Message)  Thank you. It is good.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 21:16, 4 Aug 2023 (UTC) --SirYodaJedi (talk) 21:05, 4 Aug 2023 (UTC)

About XBLAH's Modding Tool.

(using Template:Message)  Hi. I hope you are doing fine. Could you check if Detail_props#Third_Party_Tools is now better in that format? If it is, I'll modify the other articles I've edited before to follow that pattern. Actually, I'll use WAD format if that's ok.

(using Template:Message)  Hello. Your additions have a place to be and should be. Your article is large and quite step by step. Wouldn't it be better to save some space of other articles and create a "see also" section. where there will be a link to your article with the necessary section for example #creating_wad. It is better to paste an additional link than constantly copying parts of your article. See also just implies useful articles in addition to the main one. this wording is also suitable for almost any article in addition to what you can use.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 00:01, 5 Aug 2023 (UTC) --XBLAH (talk) 23:47, 5 Aug 2023 (UTC)

About marking deletions for templates

(using Template:Message)  When you are marking a deletion for a template, please add tag <noinclude> for template {{delete}} (<noinclude>{{delete}}</noinclude>). Or other pages using the template will be marked deletion too.

(using Template:Message)  Unless the template proper is wrapped in <onlyinclude></onlyinclude>.

(using Template:Message)  Thank you. I will stick with this in the future when I delete templates.  --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:26, 8 Aug 2023 (UTC)  --SirYodaJedi (talk) 14:15, 8 Aug 2023 (UTC)  --1416006136 (talk) 14:12, 8 Aug 2023 (UTC)

Cheers mate

(using Template:Message)  Thanks for taking care of that move.

oh boy I went and bungled this message didn't I

(using Template:Message)  It's okay, I moved it so that it was like a half-life model viewer, but if you object, we can discuss it. (cuz' hammer++ for example, it's not Hammer Editor++) By the way, thank you for the edits.
I also added one feature related to increasing the limit of materials from 32 to 2048, I heard about this a long time ago when I was using HLMV++, or rather trying to use it. If you can say more about this, I will be glad, if I am not mistaken.
Also for the future, if you send messages to discussions with the discussion template. You can see at the top where the template itself is depicted, the add topic/reply button. Click there and you will send a message.

(using Template:Message)  Thanks for the tip! And the help with the article. I've pinged ficool to ask to confirm the material limit change, just waiting on a reply since he is busy.

(using Template:Message)  Fine! Thank you, and thank you for correcting my mistake with the redirect :)  --NOUG4AT (talk) 7:53, 17 Oct 2023 (UTC) --TF2CutContent (talk) 7:30, 17 Oct 2023 (UTC) --NOUG4AT (talk) 7:13, 17 Oct 2023 (UTC) --TF2CutContent (talk) 7:13, 17 Oct 2023 (UTC)

[[Image:...]] --> [[File:...]]

(using Template:Message) Some older pages still use the deprecated [[Image:]] link to post images in articles. This is deprecated, and [[File:]] should be used instead. If you want, you can also get your bot to replace all articles still using Image to use File instead.

(using Template:Message) Hey, thank you Equalizer, mate. I will do it. Merry xmas btw.

(using Template:Message) Nah, thank you for doing all this boring work with the bot. That makes it so much easier for editors to focus on actually adding useful info to articles. Merry xmas and a Happy New Year to you my friend! --Equalizer5118 (talk) 17:12, 8 Jan 2024 (UTC) --NOUG4AT (talk) 7:07, 7 Jan 2024 (UTC) --Equalizer5118 (talk) 23:01, 6 Jan 2024 (UTC)

Mapbase's position on Template:branch-navbox

(using Template:Message) Because there has been some debate on whether or not Mapbase Mapbase is a branch or not, I've set up a survey that anyone can respond to about their position on whether or not it is an engine branch. It would be great if you could respond! The link to the survey is on my User page. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 17:01, 12 Jan 2024 (UTC)

Is ASD's light editor an engine tool?

(using Template:Message) So yeah as I was writing the page about it, I wasn't really sure that I could call it that, but at the same time what else would you call it, so I was just curious what is your opinion about it.

(using Template:Message) I agree with your wording! I think you can specify it this way (Engine Tools reference)
There are tools in the list section, I think if you do it this way it will be pretty nice! IMHO. --NOUG4AT (talk) 14:45, 26 Jan 2024 (UTC) --Toligon (talk) 14:37, 26 Jan 2024 (UTC)

2 small things

(using Template:Message) Thanks for moving the RTX Remix page, was gonna say only that but when I clicked on you user talk a popup kept on appearing for the wayback machine? Also your profile picture is all messed up with missing/ non working images? Sir yoda jedi's profile picture is also messed up

(using Template:Message) Yes you're welcome!
As for this Wayback window, the VDC Wikipedia has been performing quite poorly lately. Constant page reloads... And this Wayback Machine window.
Regarding RTX Remix, you've chosen a really interesting topic. Honestly, I hadn't even considered creating it myself for some reason. I did suggest some ideas for improvement, particularly regarding the valve terminology (though I could be mistaken), aiming for more connection with Valve within the article. Also, dividing some sections could be beneficial. --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:02, 7 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) If anything, these are just temporary issues; everything is fine. Although I encountered this myself a couple of days ago. --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:04, 7 Feb 2024 (UTC) --Seal Enthusiast (talk) 16:56, 7 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) Perphase valve is finally updating the wiki? I will fix up the page, the chromebook I use the VDC on I had to repair so I couldn't edit it, I have been messing around with it and it makes Source games look better than their source 2 ports! I will be including a guide for install, setup, and modding. The problem is VAC possibly thinking its a cheat client. As far as wayback machine, Valve may be archiving the site and moving the VDC to a new URL on a new engine, but that's just the copium hitting hard.

(using Template:Message) Honestly, I can't say for sure. I hope Valve will eventually update this wiki or appoint new active administrators (though I doubt it). But regardless, good luck to you in creating modding pages. I'll make timely changes and suggest improvements as needed. I hope this doesn't come across as biased; it's simply a desire to help :) --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:13, 7 Feb 2024 (UTC) --Seal Enthusiast (talk) 17:03, 7 Feb 2024 (UTC)

Organization thingy

(using Template:Message) Hello!

Hope you're good. I ran into an issue while finishing up the Category: Prism Game Studios Ltd. page. I've got the games and mods categories in there, but I wanna move Portal Stories: Mel to the mods section because... it's a mod. But I can't find the hidden category on the Mel page, even after toggling my preferences.

The developer and publisher sections only have the company name, but that's somehow linked to Category: Prism Game Studios Ltd. games. Any idea how I can change this? I don't wanna merge the Prism Game Studios Ltd. games category either, since Prism Game Studios DID make a game which isn't a mod, Portal: Stories VR.

Asking you since I don't know anybody else, sorry. --EvilEMG (talk) 9:59, 16 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) Everything is fine, thank you. Regarding that... This is because on the page "Portal Mel," it is indicated as "Type = Game" and not a mod. That's why it's in the games category. I changed the line; you can take a look (here), and you can do this in the future.
I also want to thank you for your edits, but in some instances, you're doing it a little incorrectly. You should conditionally create these lines on one page (the main one):

<onlyinclude>{{Organization category | name = Prism Game Studios Ltd. }}</onlyinclude>

For example, this should be located in Category:Breadman. The games/mods categories should already contain simply {{:category:breadman}}(Category:Breadman info). I hope you understand this mechanism, despite my poor explanation. This is for the future so that you know. Also, pay attention: the line "|about=" is used so that when you click, you will go to the main page of the campaign. I made a kind of solution with the organization "Breadman," indicating a link to him profile, since I wasn't sure whether I should devote a separate article to him (maybe yes, not sure). If there is no such page, then simply delete "|about=", and if there is, then indicate it (link (VDC!)) or set the value to true (category name - will link to the page, example the: category:breadman to the page in "about" - breadman). See Category:Breadman and sub-categories as reference. --NOUG4AT (talk) 10:25, 16 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) Regarding the developer/publisher, depending on the type (specified on the page in the template, i.e., game/mod/tool), when you click on the creators (companies), the exact category corresponding to the type will open (For example, Valve mod -> Opens Mods by Valve). --NOUG4AT (talk) 10:33, 16 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) Okay, I see. Thank you again, I really appreciate it! I guess I'll have to make sure to read documentation before editing something. Alright then, hopefully the rest of your day goes nicely! --EvilEMG (talk) 11:53, 16 Feb 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) Thank you, to you too! If you have questions, I can help you with smth what i understand a little. By the way thanks for your edits, and the coverage of svengine, it's really very useful to have on this wiki! --NOUG4AT (talk) 11:38, 16 Feb 2024 (UTC)

E1M1: Giving a hand to a flipper

(using Template:Message)  Hello, I am looking for some help with this page. I am not sure what's causing the template to not work.

P.S. I found it in the condition its in btw  --Seal Enthusiast (talk) 09:16, 29 Feb 2023 (UTC)
