Your Design
(using Template:Message) Some of my observation is that your User Page design was stolen by two users. My Congratulations! --NOUG4AT (talk) 15:43, 25 Nov 2023 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) really now? Well that's funny. Well, they do say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 15:50, 25 Nov 2023 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Someone stole your design again, in fact I’m already thinking about stealing your design myself, but I’m restraining myself))). although a design standard is probably when over 50% of users use it, but due to the activity on this wiki, I think now this can be called a standard)) --NOUG4AT (talk) 19:08, 7 Dec 2023 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Well, thats interesting. I actually got the idea of my design from you, I just took the basic idea and built off of that. I did most of the HTML and CSS work by myself, so I really just took the basic look. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 20:49, 7 Dec 2023 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) I stole User:Mailmanmicky design. Changed colors somewhere. But in fact, I like the your fork so to speak, really high quality and beautiful. I also wanted to tell you, a funny idea with favorite word - leaked, literally when compiling maps I always have leaks)))
(using Template:Message) Same. There always seems to be a tiny 1 hmu gap because I was too lazy to increase the grid size and the brush was made slightly off. My first hammer map I made purely on the lowest grid size possible, and I have no damn clue how that thing compiled looking back. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 18:11, 8 Dec 2023 (UTC) --NOUG4AT (talk) 16:15, 8 Dec 2023 (UTC)
Big history
(using Template:Message) On the one hand I want to delete all this since it is no longer used, but on the other hand this is wrong. All these files have a long history, and in some places these files were on pages that have now been deleted. Just like regular Wikipedia, there are lost files, I'm serious, take a look. This will literally allow you to travel back in time. Here --NOUG4AT (talk) 11:30, 7 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) That is genuinely really fascinating to look through. I agree that it feels kinda wrong to delete everything, even if it is what technically should be done. --Wisdurm (talk) 16:10, 7 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) I also agree, that is a nice little time capsule to look through, especially the screenshots of every hl2 prop in the game. I don't think it is necessarily required to delete those, they can probably stay. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 16:17, 7 Jan 2024 (UTC)
Whoops
(using Template:Message) A relative was in the car with me and we got distracted. They were talking about slamming on the brakes. I did so on the street before my house as a joke. I didnt look behind me. I accidentally brake checked a van. Whoops.
Its aight tho it was a Honda. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 8:03, 13 Jan 2024 (UTC)
One bad thing
(using Template:Message) Hey man! I would like to know your opinion about ERROR, since I see your edits quite often, do you think there is really a need to contain something like this? At least as a separate article, this is a lot IMHO... As a workaround, creating a separate article with errors, for example, we do not have an article for ERROR Texture (Purple-Black)ref --NOUG4AT (talk) 8:58, 17 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Personally, I do not see the point in having the ERROR article (I could have sworn that there was a similar article somewhere, I was right). We don't necessarily need an article dedicated to a single model, or like you said the missing texture. I was about to say something about it this morning after I woke up, but I guess someone beat me to it lol. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 17:03, 17 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) <wassup, so how are you doing? are you alive?> --Joaozito (talk) 20:11, 20 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) yeah I'm alive, why? --Equalizer5118 (talk) 20:53, 20 Jan 2024 (UTC)
Engine branch doubt
(using Template:Message) Hello! Appreciate your contribution to the XenEngine page :). I'm a bit confused about something you added, though. Black Mesa's article mentions it runs on its own version of the Team Fortress 2 engine branch, and Chetan Jag's blog says it's built on the orange box (TF2 branch) version of Source Engine. The article also notes it's a hybrid, so maybe it's just a mix of both 2013MP and TF2? Sorry to bother. --EvilEMG (talk) 23:48, 30 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Its no bother! Team Fortress 2 was release with the orange box bundle, so with hl2ep2 and Portal. The orange box branch eventually turned into Source 2013, which is split into Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Team Fortress 2 is based off of Source 2013 MP, there is no dedicated Team Fortress 2 branch. That statement Jags made is true, I just wanted to he specific about what branch it is based on. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 0:26, 31 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Ooh I see, I missed that. Thanks! --EvilEMG (talk) 8:51, 31 Jan 2024 (UTC)

(using Template:Message) This is just a preset of my equalizer settings so that my terrible Nokia headphones produce good sound with bass. I know it's probably strange here, but since you're nickname is Equalizer, I couldn't help but stay this good preset, I recently installed the Equalizer and configured it (PulseAudio), and was happy with the good sound. And good sound to you by the way. --NOUG4AT (talk) 16:06, 31 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) LOL. That's a new one! In reality, I based my name off the tf2 weapon "The Equalizer". Theres a story behind that.
It starts where everything starts, a tf2 100x Highertower server. In that gamemode, The Equalizer is incredibly op, as it 1 shots most classes and you move very fast, so I named myself Equalizer and ran around the server with the Equalizer. Since then, I became lazy and only changed my name for the #savetf2 trend. Now it's my internet name and I wont change it :/. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 18:35, 31 Jan 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Its nice that your nickname has such a story, in fact, I used the “equalizer” myself, I didn’t even think that you meant this particular weapon, but I liked killing a players with it XD --NOUG4AT (talk) 5:41, 1 Feb 2024 (UTC)
One minor thing.
(using Template:Message) Hey man, I just want to ask you about adding tables, whether you have seen or not my recent edits about this. Some are against it, in general, what do you think about it? It seems to me that this wiki should contain formatted pages, and not just copypaste of the convars. In the interest of improving the quality of the wiki, I'm just curious to know what you think about this. I'll probably start rolling back changes, it seems that some people consider this to be excessive perfectionism IMHO. --NOUG4AT (talk) 15:51, 2 Feb 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Tables do look nicer, and while I do think that they should be the standard on pages such as the list of console commands or cvars, however they are tedious to create which is why some editors can be turned off by them. I think tables are preferred, but not exactly live or die if they are absent. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 16:43, 2 Feb 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Thank you! Really! Apparently, they don't like it when I use a template for this. What else can you say about it? I'm not sure; maybe I should silently add tables instead of using a 'clean-up' template. On the contrary, I see the point in this because these are indeed the pages whose quality can be improved, and others can notice it and offer help. Your opinion as an experienced editor matters to me. --NOUG4AT (talk) 16:57, 2 Feb 2024 (UTC)
Your edit
(using Template:Message) I did this to avoid adding to the Black Mesa category.[1]
Workaround [2]
Cancel these edits if you think the display title complicates the page. But this is done only to avoid adding an unnecessary category, or, as a last merge the Black Mesa categories and move pages from BM(S) to BM. (just suggest, i can merge it) --NOUG4AT (talk) 18:24, 20 Feb 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) oh, I see now. I did not fully understand what that parameter did, i apologize. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 19:36, 20 Feb 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) I reverted the page to how it was, though I italicized the title for visual parity. Sorry for the trouble! --Equalizer5118 (talk) 19:39, 20 Feb 2024 (UTC)
Table Usage for Improved Page Clarity
(using Template:Message) Hello, Equalizer! I'd like to ask for your opinion on the tables in this Discussion[3]. It appears that a dispute is escalating, but I am firmly in favor of the tables. Your objective perspective from the outside would be valuable. It seems that someone may not like the trend of adding tables or the fact that I am marking pages without tables for cleaning. Please share your thoughts; it would be helpful to know your viewpoint! --NOUG4AT (talk) 8:10, 28 Feb 2024 (UTC)
Just idea.
(using Template:Message) Hey dude, I'm sorry for bombarding you with 10,000 messages, but you're the editor I know who always responds. What do you think about creating guides for quickly formatting articles on this wiki? I've started writing scripts, and I can't get enough of the fact that creating tables now only takes 5 minutes, and creating a high-quality entity sheet takes almost no time at all. Here are some examples.12.. --NOUG4AT (talk) 19:03, 29 Feb 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) That can totally work. We can likely put them under the "Help:" prefix, however lets make sure that the article is completed on a sandbox page before actually moving to a Help prefix page. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 19:35, 29 Feb 2024 (UTC)
Templates
(using Template:Message) I like what you did with template:nocontent. It looks a lot better than before! --DavidSon713 (talk) 17:34, 18 Mar 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) No problem! I like doing small things that add a little bit of flair and professionality. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 17:39, 18 Mar 2024 (UTC)
I always thought that there was a process of creating one universal template Templare:Translate. Will it be easier for translators to use 5 templates instead of one? --Clash (talk) 04:40, 19 June 2024 (PDT)
EMERGENCY
(using Template:Message) Man! Check a recent changes, it’s a real madness !!! --NOUG4AT (talk) 19:40, 24 Mar 2024 (UTC)
minor edit misuse
I assume you set minor edit as default in preferences but I recommend turning that off. From this article w:Help:Minor_edit "A check to the minor edit box signifies that only superficial differences exist between the current and previous versions. Examples include typographical corrections, corrections of minor formatting errors, and reversion of obvious vandalism. A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. An edit of this kind is marked in its page's revision history with a lowercase, bolded "m" character (m)." --Nescius (talk) 15:35, 23 August 2024 (PDT)
Inconsequential information pertaining to an old $ssbump revision
In a revision you made to the $ssbump page on 5 February 2024, you noted:
height2ssbump
is currently non-funcitonal [sic] in Strata Source games. Use Portal 2's instead, or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive if you still have access to it. For some reason, I had also been under the impression that CS:GO was unobtainable following the update to Counter-Strike 2. But, as it turns out, the CS:GO branch is still accessible via the csgo_legacy
beta branch on Steam. height2ssbump
isn't included in the base game installation, so the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - SDK is also required.
It appears anyone can acquire CS:GO/ CS2 (and thus the csgo_legacy
branch), but only users with Prime status can acquire the CS:GO - SDK to use height2ssbump
(see the "Availability" section).
I'm going to take care of updating the page with relevant information soon, I just wanted to let you know about this first (as I also learned something new).
