Just thougts...

I stopped editing this wiki a long time ago, largely due to the chaotic atmosphere here and the complete lack of solid editorial policy. Luckily, I missed the worst of it. A clear example of this deficiency occurred in the events of June 2024, when a number of bot accounts were enabled to go about mass deleting a number of articles which had been flagged for deletion, again without proper due process, which would have been questionable enough in itself even had the enabling of the bots been done by anyone other than the moderators. I have made mistakes in the past with regards to the use of templates for mass categorization. I have also made mistakes in promoting my own contributions. But these actions took place within a silent consensus of the community to add such templates. When there was a sudden vote to remove them all, I was not surprised that a poll on such a fundamental change would be subject to a deluge of new users with no prior edits and no prior contributions to this wiki. My previous errors aside, my main point is that I made some real contributions to this community of devs and that those are worth being open to returning for. What’s keeping me from doing so, however, is the absence of a comprehensive and transparent set of policies for this wiki that have been fully worked out and are in place to solve the core problems that caused me to leave in the first place. --NOUG4AT (talk) 22:47, 17 May 2026 (PDT)
