Half-Life Deathmatch: Source Half-Life Deathmatch: Source is a recreation of the multiplayer mode of the original Half-Life Half-Life. It features all the classic weapons and most-played maps, now running on the Source Engine with the signature enhancements and bugs of Half-Life: Source, in addition to new bugs, such as duplicated entities.

Not all deathmatch maps in GoldSrc Half-Life are included in the vanilla game. Gasworks is mysteriously absent, and none of the Further Data or 25th Anniversary maps are present. See the Half-Life 1 page for a list of which maps are present and absent.

Since Half-Life 2's 20th anniversary, buying Half-Life 2 gives you access to Half-Life Deathmatch: Source (but not Half-Life: Source) and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, while buying Half-Life Deathmatch: Source separately will give access to Half-Life: Source. Half-Life Deathmatch: Source currently runs on Team Fortress 2 branch, as of a February 18, 2025 update.
