Source 2 Viewer是一个功能强大的工具，它允许你浏览vpk文件，查看、提取、以及反编译起源2资产，包括地图、模型、材质、纹理、声音等。

该工具允许导出地图和模型为glTF格式，可将地图反编译为vmap格式 Hammer，模型导出为 ModelDoc Editor (translations needed)格式。

它也允许一键从磁盘上的文件夹创建vpk文件。

这个开源项目完全基于逆向工程，因为没有起源2 SDK（Source 2 SDK）。

该项目包含一个 ValveResourceFormat .NET 库（也称为 VRF）来支持 Source 2 Viewer。此库可用于以编程方式打开和提取起源2 的资源文件
