Some of these shouldn't even be considered an engine branch
When you say "engine branch" you mean the engine source code's been modified but NS1, Paranoia, SoHL, Trinity all had their source code released and they don't look like source code for GoldSrc at all but rather HLSDK code.
Paranoia does have an OpenGL wrapper but from what I can see that's just for bumpmaps. While CoF didn't have source code released it looks to be using regular Steam engine branch from 2009/2013.
If anyone has any objections, I'll be editing pages to remove mentions of said games/SDKs being called as "engine branches" --mv (talk) 09:37, 21 March 2024 (PDT)
- I can't agree. COF uses the renderer of Paranoia, as well as some entities (which were in paranoia, are also in cof), and it is unique entities (which first appeared in paranoia); Regarding branches, this is inaccurate. Rather, this is the HLSDK forks. So I would like to know more what others think about it. For reference about relation of cof/paranoiaTalk:Cry_of_Fear
Some projects are separated into separate branches due to significant changes (for example, Nightfire or CSNEO), but again, creating a list of goldsrc branches is problematic... Therefore, forks were also allocated to branches. No one objected at the time of the creation of all this; if there are any objections. I just want to hear objective points of view, yes, paranoia/cof and some of the projects listed here may be incorrect.

Utopic Tahu ссылаясь на MapBase ситуацию удалил эти ветки, можно ли утверждать что это бранчи? Неоднозначно, насколько мне известно n.s. далеко продвинулся от GoldSrc, по крайней мере изменений достаточно. Я не очень согласен с Utopic Tahu, но его правка оправдана. Например мы должны теперь убрать Paranoia/Cry of Fear. Ведь это HLSDK форки тоже; поэтому его правка странная, но приемлимая (незакончена).
Вот версия до его правки. Прилагаю для справки.
