Counter-Strike was ported to Xbox by Ritual Entertainment in 2003. This is the only 
GoldSrc game ported to the platform.
The game runs on the modified version of GoldSrc with features such as:
Detailed textures (later introduced to CS:CZ), Dynamic iris simulation (being the predecessor to HDR Rendering).
The texture and assets are later reused in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
Intense Xbox Live Multiplayer Action
- Battle real players throughout the world with Xbox Live, while strategizing and communicating with up to 16 players via the Xbox *Live Communicator headset.
- Select games with equal-caliber opponents, using the unique player-ranking system.
- Use your Xbox as a customizable, dedicated server to host multiplayer games. Customize a multitude of gameplay options including timing, map type, weapons, number of rounds, etc.
