Just a thought.
(using Template:Message) Hello. It would be beneficial to include a {{software page}} on the game pages, as it offers greater functionality. Additionally, specifying {{needs software page}} on mod pages is advisable. I've observed that you apply {{Infotable}} approach on mod pages, which is commendable. However, it would be preferable to utilize software page templates on these pages, as the infotable will be removed when a software page is added. This template is more appropriate for games ({{software page}} than {{infotable}}. --NOUG4AT (talk) 14:20, 11 Apr 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Ok, I can definitely do that --strubium (talk) 9:22, 11 Apr 2024 (UTC)
Template point.
(using Template:Message) I understand your intent to standardize mod pages, particularly by templating them in a consistent manner when a mod icon is absent. However, I question the necessity of this. Adding such details seems superfluous, as they do not notably enhance visibility. Furthermore, using the Half-Life 2 (HL2) icon could lead to confusion. I've frequently observed the notation {{hl2}} adjacent to mod names on older pages. While this practice is peculiar, you've opted to make it standard. I argue that employing a same template for mods without specific icons is redundant. It introduces unnecessary formatting that fails to offer any real improvement. Moreover, you're implementing this on mod pages that might already possess unique icons. In my opinion, these additional steps are needless and only serve to overcomplicate the page structure. We could simply highlight the mod title using bold text (<b>), and, the outcome would remain largely the same. --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:45, 15 Apr 2024 (UTC)
(using Template:Message) Is your idea to make this a kind of optimization instead of creating icons for unknown mods? You know, I think. That this is probably correct, but only then, you need to make sure that in the template you can change the color of the text. And so that it doesn't have an icon. I believe that such a change will not be superfluous and make template more universal. For example, for GoldSrc and Src mods, we can only use your template. --NOUG4AT (talk) 17:52, 15 Apr 2024 (UTC)
