Runs on the earlier, beta version of Source 2004, referred to as the Half-Life 2 Beta/leak (or Source 2003) engine. It uses a proprietary format for the materials and texture files. Also the first Source game to use Bink video, prior to Source 2007.
2006 SiN Episodes SiN Episodes Ritual Ritual Source 2004 Source 2004 PC: Windows Last game by Ritual Entertainment, having only one out of nine episodes released, prior to the acquisition by MumboJumbo. No new episodes were created after the acquisition.
The game runs on mix of both Source 2004 with some beta Source 2006 (or possibly the 2005 version of Lost Coast) code[confirm] (as there are non-functional HDR console commands).

PC: Windows, Mac, Linux Originally released a mod before becoming standalone around 2011. This is a third-party game (formerly, a Source SDK mod) that was published by Valve (first-party) since the release of GMod 10 and later versions. Unlike previous versions (GMod 9 or earlier), it is not free and requires purchase. GMod 1.0 up to GMod 10 runs on Source 2006 (via Source SDK Base 2006), GMod 11 runs on Source 2007 (via Source SDK Base 2007), and GMod 12 Beta runs on Source 2007 (and requires SDK Base), but later versions of GMod 12 runs on Source 2009 then Source MP branch while also being standalone for the first time. When GMod 13 was released in 2012, it also initially ran on Source MP, which was later upgraded to Source 2013. After GMod 13, the game, and its Source 2013 branch transitioned to Wikipedia icon Software as a service-like model which meant that GMod will be frequently updated every month, and Facepunch begin to heavily modify the engine by adding experimental support for Alien Swarm engine branch Alien Swarm engine branch and Portal 2 engine branch Portal 2 engine branch or later features, such as VTF 7.5, BSP 21 and 64-bit support, and combining code from both 2013's SP, MP, and later in 2025 with Team Fortress 2 branch.
