Talk:List of Left 4 Dead 2 console commands and variables
Here's a (hopefully) growing list of commands that cvar list fails to list, which I'm sure is much larger than this. --ThaiGrocer 17:37, 13 February 2011 (UTC):
shotgunefx recommended looking at server.dll with a text editor. This allowed me to find a bunch more commands, although they don't all appear to be fully realized, connected, or need further testing. --ThaiGrocer 02:48, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Sourcemod commands on the list
Why are there Sourcemod commands being listed? That's the ones with sm_ prefixes. Should they be removed? --Anijatsu (talk) 14:52, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
Don’t pointlessly edit this page
No need to “cleanup” this page into tables. It’s readable just fine and easy to copy from. Nescius (talk) 06:37, 2 February 2024 (PST)
- These changes are aimed at improving the page structure. In addition, adding tables has been proposed as an improvement to page formatting.--NOUG4AT (talk) 07:04, 2 February 2024 (PST)
- This is the second time nougat insisted on using tables, started converting them and then didn't finish it. I finished it because i'm sick of this guy here wanting to be different and i know he'll insult me like he already did on the CS2 cvar talk page.
But i wouldn't mind just undoing all of the table nonsense because its literally useless and just adds work. --MrFunreal (talk) 18:12, 26 February 2024 (PST)

- I vote for revert. There is no point in page like this being tables. Its purpose is just quick way to easily search and see available cvars. The custom ** descriptions are already pushing it imo. Selected cvars being in tables when they are on relevant entity pages for examble are completely fine to be in tables with custom descriptions but this list of all cvars should be as raw as possible Nescius (talk) 02:14, 27 February 2024 (PST)
- I think if anyone disagrees, we can take a vote to see what users want to see more of here. But while the main reasons for making this are standardization, improving visibility
In addition, creating tables is a common practice on similar wikis.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9], other[10][11]
Such changes are not aimed at making things more complicated or anything like that; formatting may not be necessary at all. You can start canceling such changes and deleting tables from such pages
--NOUG4AT (talk) 02:23, 27 February 2024 (PST)- Tables make things much easier to read. If you are planning to add tables, it might be better to do the conversion on a sandbox page then merge with this page once the changes are done. I will say this tho, don't mark a page as cleanup unless you are intending to update it. -Equalizer (talk) 12:47, 28 February 2024 (PST)
