New page for "Subrect Editor"

Hi! I made a new page for the Image Subrect Editor. I have no idea how to create a template for the icon and ez click link thingy. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Image_Subrect_Editor If you could help out, as I think you're the one doing this, that'd be cool. I can do that but I would have to install some Source 2 games manually, by pirating games (HL Alyx) or using third-party sites (I picked the one that i trust the most) to get CS2 for free, then I can extract the SDK icons (such as Image Subrect Editor) from one of those games. Usually you can name it whatever you want, but I recommend you to use something like "Icon-S2ParticleEditor.png" or "Icon-(Tool name).png" for example.
For the company logos, software logos, etc..., use "Logo-(Name).png". Kr0tchet (talk) 11:47, 21 Aug 2023

Another thing, if you go to 🖿common\Counter Strike 2\core\tools\images\ Kr0tchet (talk) 12:01, 21 Aug 2023 for example, there is tons of higher-res version of the tools icon, such as Image subrect in 32x32 or higher. These benefits high-DPI displays such as 4K or Retina one, but to use it on VDC, you just need third-party programs or website to convert it to PNG (which you already know), instead of uploading 16x16 version, upload the 32x32 (or higher) version of the icons (if the game/tools/software have it), and using one parameters (like {{{ico size = 16px}}}) for the icon template to scaling it down back to 16px (but will scaled back to 32x32 or more if you zoom your browser in or by using high-res displays). Right now I'm currently converting the ico to 32x32 size (and optionally upscale it if needed to), then overwrite the 16x16 one.

That's where I got that 16x16 icon from, it's the only one there. I'll upscale it and reupload. SethTooQuick (talk) 12:04, 21 Aug 2023

redoing hotspot page

Hi again! So, I was wondering if remaking the hotspot page should be done? As I've made the Image Subrect Editor page, the old docs need to be cleaned up. Fixed L4D page

Hey man, fixed the L4D page. Turns out I must have accidentally added an extra [[User:Equalizer5118|Equalizer5118]] ([[User talk:(Equalizer5118)|talk]]) 21:38, 30 Aug 2023 somewhere in the Mod Status part of the template, or broke it in one way or another. Fixed by removing Mod Status.

Hello! Have you checked the functionality of the Team Fortress Classic I don't own that game so I would have to check the pirated version through Steam Underground forum (which is always updated to the latest version). The game did launch just fine, but it's does not have the HUD scaling fix at all, the menu did changed through and the logo on the menu was not cropped properly. However FOV Widescreen fix appears to work just fine, along with other video options. Kr0tchet (talk) 5:53, 19 Nov 2023

Does Mapbase belong on Template:branch-navbox?

Hey man, I'm asking all active editors of the VDC to respond to the survey on my user page on whether or not Mapbase is an engine branch or not. I would like it if you submitted a response!

(using Template:Message) For now, Mapbase is the forked version of Src13 SP with some differences that was enough to making most or nearly all mods incompatible with vanilla/unmodified Source 2013 SP. You can also change your nickname through the User:Kr0tchet/Settings, change the username value and purge your profile page... -> Profit!

Hello, can you say, for what we should add a name with title (abbreviation) of game; for example. Adding | nameCS 1.6 = CS 1.6; what application of this line?

(using Template:Message)  What do you mean by that? I basically just added the "| nameCS 1.6 = CS 1.6" (or similar on some software template) so that it would be much easier for me (and anyone else) to remember instead of having to visit the template page itself and find the exact number (1, 2, 3, 4, etc...) for the abbreviation of game title or alternative game name ({{{nt NOUG4AT (talk) 11:41, 23 Mar 2024). Typing {{cs|4|nt=CS 1.6}} would basically display as: Counter-Strike CS 1.6.}}}  --Kr0tchet (talk) 12:23, 23 Mar 2024 (UTC)
