New to Valve Developing VR Menu

{{Message | user = BigDadHogan | time = 13:40, 20 Feb 2024 | 1 = I have developed a database-driven C# Winform that I would like to use as my main VR Menu to keep my young boys from accessing Steam directly. I like Steam and SteamVR, but they both allow access to things like the Store, Settings (boys love changing settings), and Exit VR (I prefer to have the control to get them out of VR without them getting out. Anyway, I wanted to know if there is a way to incorporate my C# code into SteamVR home that will bring up my menu and then return to my menu without having all of the community options and stuff within the normal Home?

The best option would be to be able to create a wrapper or something that will open the games within SteamVR, but then when the game is exited out of it closes out of Steam's menus and goes back to my desktop. I am using Pico 4 and either Streaming Assistant or Virtual Desktop. Virtual Desktop seems a bit better, but opens things up more that will allow my boys to make changes again. So I will probably end up using Streaming Assistant to open my desktop where the only access they will have is the Application that I wrote that takes over the whole screen and doesn't allow access to anything else on the desktop without having the keyboard shortcuts.

Is there any way of accomplishing this through my C# application? It opens games properly through SteamVR, but it is the exiting from the game that I need to figure out.

Cheers,

Rick
