开发历程
《熵：零 2》于 2018 年 2 月开始开发。《熵：零 2》开发初期（2018 年）的剧情与现在存在很大差别。最初的故事发生在
半衰期2：第二章之后。玩家再次扮演坏警察，任务是返回 10 号城去摧毁 10 号支柱，试图制造另一个连通联合军上层世界的传送门。玩家们会在一座 17 号城市的废墟中醒来，然后前往华莱士·布林的遗骸处领取一把武装钥匙。10 号城将会成为一个有着时间异常性的“怪异和扭曲的噩梦”，这是《熵：零》结尾时引发的停滞事件导致的。当时的技术限制阻碍了开发，因此重新编写叙述以更好地适应可用资源。
在 2018 年 11 月，我们编了一个新故事，并开始了模组的开发。此后，新的故事一直存在，但在整个发展过程中保持了灵活性。
《熵：零 2》于 2020 年 8 月 1 日正式进入 alpha 测试阶段。
开发人员
《熵：零 2》由一个由 Breadman 领导的小组开发，也就是第一部的开发者。本作仍使用由 Spencer Baggett 制作的音乐和来自 Human Error 以及各种贡献者的内容。团队成员包括 Trivvy，CW3D，1upD，Blixibon，Kralich，Cyonsia，Spencer Baggett 和 Sergeant Stacker。
