User-Images
Hey! I support your policy regarding the removal of many user images (low/terrible quality), recently there has been an "influx" of useless user pages that contain nothing except advertising, or at least make no sense (since they did not make any edits to the wiki, except perhaps their profile). --NOUG4AT (talk) 3:54, 4 Oct 2023
Template:Console command stub
Hey, wouldn't it be more efficient to have a single stub template and then just separate the different text with a #switch? Seems more logical to me... --Equalizer5118 (talk) 2:00, 19 Feb 2024
I also support unification; separating this template is unnecessary at least. I have already done this, so you can add new parameters if necessary. Instead of constantly separating, combining everything actually makes it easier to work with the template. --NOUG4AT (talk) 7:28, 19 Feb 2024
I was originally doing this for consistency with Wikipedia, though I agree that a single template makes more sense in the end; we won't have thousands of stub categories like they do. --Pee (talk) 15:51, 19 Feb 2024

archived page history
I see you are moving that stuff under Template: namespace for some reason but I was leaving the links to those pages in the page histories so you should at least leave the redirects otherwise those become red. Don't see what's the issue with them being in main namespace Nescius (talk) 18:09, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- The main issue I see with them staying in the main namespace is that it has a detrimental effect on Special:ShortPages (and they aren't really articles). As for the page history, clicking on the red links will show you that the page was moved. Should I still avoid deleting the pages in the main namespace? Redirects won't appear in Special:ShortPages. ―Pee (talk) 18:18, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- Quite sure page being moved without redirect is shown only to moderators and not to anyone else who can't see deleted stuff. Them being in short pages doesn't look like a big deal since there are more than thousand pages anyway and there won't be that many more archived page histories than what currently exists. Nescius (talk) 18:21, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- I can still see that the page has been moved (even if it was moved and deleted separately) if I log in as my bot, which is not a moderator. For now, I'll leave the redirects for any more pages I move just so that links don't appear red in history. ―Pee (talk) 18:30, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- It's visible only to users actually. Someone without account can't see it Nescius (talk) 18:36, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- It seems making page a redirect to non existent link also prevents it from filling short pages. Nescius/sandbox/test3. So I suggest make it that way Nescius (talk) 18:44, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- I've already started moving the pages to the template namespace. Here, they don't cause any issues with Special:ShortPages; I think they make more sense being in a namespace besides the main one anyways. Is there any reason to not continue moving them to the template namespace? ―Pee (talk) 19:02, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
- The issue is there will still have to be redirects left behind to keep the links already left in the page histories blue. The solution with non-existent redirect to prevent shortpages filling seems better. Not quite sure why so much hurry about moving these pages since this Short pages thing feels like quite a minor issue. Nescius (talk) 19:08, 15 July 2024 (PDT)
