Template rework
I have been working on a rewrite for this template that makes it more accurate to Wikipedia's citation template. There are quite a few parameters used to put information in a standard format, so the editor doesn't have to manually type out the citation, or possibly mess up the citation format. The full rework, including code and examples, can be found on my sandbox page.
I would love some feedback on the rework, or even if it's a good idea. -Equalizer, aka the better pickaxe (talk) 21:54, 29 July 2025 (PDT)
- The new template looks great. The current version (as of July 31, 2025) is simple, which is fine, but it lacks some important information. I think it's a good time to update it.
- Also, i just want to be sure if it will not break pages that are using the template, so it can be implemented right now or later. --N0one (talk) 07:44, 31 July 2025 (PDT)
- New rewrite was great, it's much better, it's still lack certain features tho so i had to use "1" param (like in Counter-Strike 2 page) just to be able to use Template:Quote for quoting/commenting. PCGW version of the cite template has a
commentparam for that so maybe can u implement that? --leonidakarlach (talk) 20:37, 23 October 2025 (PDT)
