Cry of Fear is a psychological single-player and co-op horror game set in a deserted town filled with horrific creatures and nightmarish delusions. Created by Team Psykskallar, who was previously known for
Afraid of Monsters. The game runs on a heavily modified version of GoldSrc and offers better graphics, new effects (FX), and more, making the graphics closer to Source engine, it also used detailed textures which was first introduced in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. Despite this, it's was still based off pre-SteamPipe version of the GoldSrc engine, namely based on
Paranoia branch.[1]
