Place names are handled differently in different games:

• Counter-Strike: Source and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive choose from a preset list of place names via the nav mesh.

• Standard Place Names for CS:S
• Standard Place Names for CS:GO.

• Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat: Source allow arbitrary place names, either directly from a KV or from a referenced localization string, depending upon distance from the closest of one of the following:

• dod_location (GoldSrc, Source)
• dod_control_point (GoldSrc, Source)
