Counter-Strike Online Counter-Strike Online (released in July 24, 2008) is a free-to-play spinoff of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero with new weapons, skins, microtranscations, custom gamemodes which is developed by Nexon Corporation, with oversight from license-holder Valve Corporation. Unlike other Valve games, this version of Counter-Strike will not require Steam to play. It's also restrict most of the feature on the GoldSrc engine, such as Console commands being limited, and the game files are completely packed differently than other Valve games, in a more proprietary formats.

Counter-Strike Online is targeted at the Asian games markets, and is now available for play on Steam in other countries as Counter-Strike Nexon Counter-Strike Nexon.

Sequel

Counter-Strike Online 2

An sequel to CSO, Counter-Strike Online 2, was released in December 2013, the game runs on the Source Source engine and featured revamped version of the Dust II, Inferno, and Italy, like the previous Counter-Strike Online, the game is only available in Asia.
