Um, so what's the current intention for each of the weapon pages such as weapon_awp in particular, especially weapons that appear in all three games? Those pages are sort of in a broken state right now since 18 days because you can use neither of the templates BasicCSseriesWeapon nor BasicCS2Weapon for them because both templates omit stuff of at least one game.<br>
Is the intention to create duplicates of weapon pages like 2 just because of the different engine? These wiki templates don't need to reflect that, or is it? Is this change really worth the trouble although the entities are so identical?<br>
If so, I'd instead suggest reverting the changes that moved this template away from containing the necessary KV/I/Os of all three games because that's what this template was made for: toggle the KV/I/Os and categories (!) per weapon page as needed using the css, csgo and cs2 parameters. This way you can use the template for all weapons that appear in any combination of these games, thus for all weapons of all three games. This is &ndash; or was &ndash; a powerful template. That's why I'm curious about why this splitting change was made 18 days ago. --popcorn (talk) 18:11, 23 April 2025 (PDT)

Splitting CS2 from CS:S and CS:GO
