HL2World was once an inappropriate and offensive Half-Life 2 oriented forum, notorious for leaking the early version of Half-Life 2, which has been promptly stolen from Valve's internal network in 2003, and the release of JBMod. The leaker and hacker of 2003 Half-Life 2 was Axel "Anon-G" Gembe. The site took its origin from 'FlameHaus.com' and 'SomethingAwful.com', which inspired its idea. Other versions of this website included 'BF2World.com' and 'CS2World.com'. If you go to the HL2World website right now (HL2World.com), the website will check your browser and link you to a blank information page about "Safety features we always need to look for in the inflatable spa available in Australia." Australia is also the country where the website originated from, along the website 'FlameHaus.com'.
