{{dods|4}} is a remake of the online multiplayer WWII first-person shooter {{dod|3.1}} on the {{Source|3.1}} engine. Similar to the original, players assume the role of light/assault/heavy infantry, sniper or machine-gunner class, and missions are based on historical operations. Unlike its predecessor however, the player can only choose the American Soldiers for the Allies, and not the British.

Unlike {{css|4.1}} or {{l4d|4.1}}, {{dods|4.1}} does not have proper built-in bot support. While there are console commands to spawn and manipulate bots in the map, the resulting bots are only intended for debugging, and do not do anything besides run around randomly.
 
[[RCBot2]] is a [[MetaMod]] plugin which adds proper bot support to DoD:S. Unlike CS_Bot and NextBot, RCBot2 does not use an automatically generated navmesh, and instead requires hand-placed waypoints. Nonetheless, the downloads for RCBot2 v1.5 and newer include waypoints for all vanilla maps and over 100 custom maps.

Day of Defeat: Source Day of Defeat: Source is a remake of the online multiplayer WWII first-person shooter Day of Defeat on the Source engine. Bots

Unlike Counter-Strike: Source Counter-Strike: Source or Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead, Day of Defeat: Source Day of Defeat: Source does not have proper built-in bot support. While there are console commands to spawn and manipulate bots in the map, the resulting bots are only intended for debugging, and do not do anything besides run around randomly.
