This is to be a continuation to the tutorials of [[Your_First_Half-Life_2:_Deathmatch_Room|Your First HL2:DM Room]]. Often users finish these and leave them to wander out into the great big wide world of level design. I can't stand by that, theres a lot to know that still considered "basics" by most that may still be unheard of to the beginenr designer. Often such question come up as "How do I create a corridor", "where do I make slopes", "how do entites actually work". This is what this block will take you too. Like "your first DM room" it will have a specifically guided end result but a lot more shorcuts tips and advice will be laid out. By the end of this block of tutorials you should feel more cofortable using Hammer and be able to achive what you want easily or know where and what to look for.
This is to be a continuation to the tutorials from [[Your First Map]]. The purpose of these tutorials is to introduce you to the rest of the information on the wiki and finish teaching you all the basics of using Hammer to a high enough level that you can achive any effect or learn how on your own. The tutorials assume your familiar with the first room tutorials and will more often link to articles that explain features rather than explain them again. If you ever wondered things like "how entities work" or "how to make a corridor" these will be the tutorials for you.

Introduction

This is to be a continuation to the tutorials from Your First Map.
