Why should we stop improving the wiki? --THE OWL (talk) 13:27, 18 Apr 2023
Stop modifying protected pages, they're protected for a reason --SlimekPL (talk) 15:56, 18 Apr 2023
Don't care? We need to have access to edit these pages. We should be able to fix templates, links, and more. --THE OWL (talk) 14:04, 18 Apr 2023
They are locked specifically so people like you cannot vandalize them to link to their own Discord or Github groups.
This is still an official Developer Wik with Community contributed content, not your playground --Jan200101 (talk) 14:12, 18 Apr 2023
People like me are trying to fix articles about entities, creating a {{Software page}}
, sorting categories and doing much more to make this disgusting place better. If you don't like those links on the Main Page that I didn't actually add, then just delete them instead of deleting what returns all the languages to their places, allows you to fix pages and the like. --THE OWL (talk) 14:19, 18 Apr 2023
Btw, why should we delete anything related to the Valve Developer Community? I will not allow you to delete these links, even though I did not create them, because you do not have good arguments in favor of deleting them. For example, GitHub, which contains what is directly used in the wiki (sounds), as well as what can be used in the future when Valve finally comes and sees these damn messages on the Main Page.
If you disagree with me, then at least we have a user who added these links - Mailmanmicky. --THE OWL (talk) 14:31, 18 Apr 2023
Okay, lets see...
There is a difference between adding information or improving the contents of an artile and trying to plaster a Discord Invite as well as various unrelated Wikis over the Main Page. The Github Organization is not open for other people to contribute to, so its essentially useless for the community, since only you and someone else has access to it. Before this, the organisation was named vdc-unofficial, so this isn't some mistake of you trying to use the name in good faith, but a blatan attempt to pretend to be the VDC. You are essentially using github as a CDN, which is not what it was designed for and a blatant violation of the ToS on multiple levels, not something that can be expected to stay around. These links do not belong on the Main Page and I will revert them in a bit, this is vandalism at best and a hostile takeover at worst, you have gone out of your way to call it a "revolution" in your commits. Your actions do not appear to be in good faith and these decisions make it appear as if you see this community as yours to change or that you are entitled to make some sort of changes. --Jan200101 (talk) 15:54, 18 Apr 2023
Voting feedback
(using Template:Message) While we all value your votes, could you please elaborate on your no's instead of copy pasting the same response to everyone? --Equalizer5118 (talk) 19:46, 17 Jun 2024 (UTC)
