Purpose

User:Equalizer5118, you just added this template with and without the parameter "csgo" to many pages that are about CS:GO and that are not game pages.
Why? Anyone who wants to launch the game will most likely know that, thus the notice is almost zero use for the reader, instead most of the time it is once another disturbing notice at the top of the page making it harder to find the beginning of the actual page content. Also, the notice was added in several pages such as CS:GO/Game Modes where most information will most likely apply to CS2, too, so it's not just for historical reference. In addition, I couldn't find a page that deserves the Category:Delisted games (except for game pages, about which I'm not talking).
This is why I would remove the notice from most of those pages in the near future.

You are right, im sorry. Originally I thought this was intended for any page that had info about CSGO, not just game pages. I apologize. --Equalizer5118 (talk) 15:42, 5 Oct 2023
