Dear Mr. Foster: I love you. I want to start a fan club in your blessed name. Now hurry up and get this released! :) --- Campaignjunkie 16:55, 10 Jul 2005 (PDT)

And one of my favorites strike again! I didn't notice this one until reading the Someplace_Else space over here.. May I mention how much I love thee? No? Well, then just take my compliments! Oh, and hey CJ.. :) --SEThorian 22:33, 15 Jul 2005 (CET)

Ah, the creator of Someplace Else strikes again. I remember seeing this before, but making it into an official Steam News Update is good, real good. Keep up the good work there. Captain P 1:12, 18 Jul 2005 (CET)

Wow, this page is beating the Main Page by 23,000 views (at time of writing). Nice job! :D --Campaignjunkie 21:54, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)

Adam, I just played through Minerva - nice work! Thoroughly enjoyable. :) I'm looking forward to the next episode. Chris Bokitch 13:40, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

No lie, absolutely beautiful work. Not sure how my site helped but thanks for mentioning it in the credits. --wisemx 15:10, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

A couple of months ago, I was pretty much tearing my hair out over the utter complexity of single-player HL2 mapping, and the singular lack of documentation on the subject. Fortunately, I found your site - and shortly afterwards, everything clicked. And my little geometry-test of a map (dubbed 'Flatulent Geographer', no less) grew into what you see today... --Cargo Cult 15:40, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)
Gosh, we're learning together, Good Better Best never let it Rest. ;-) --wisemx 17:54, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Great work! Had fun playing it. Looking forward to next episode as well. -- Shens 14:27, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Awesome level! I cant wait to continue. This is a supurb example of what hardwork on design, polishing, and balance can lead to. I like the story and the design , keep it up man! --Hyperion2010 15:01, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

What can I say that hasn't been said already? Superb level design, witty banter via 'Mr Deus Ex Machina' and a healthy affirmation of my belief that Combine soldiers can offer a challenging fight. Encore. --Tequila 17:05, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Mr Deus Ex Machina? That's interesting, since I always imagined it was a woman. Perhaps that's just because I can't stop thinking of the observing guide as Miranda Zero though (who, incidentally, was played by Michelle Forbes - voice of Judith Mossman - in the recent attempted TV adaptation of Warren Ellis' Global Frequency series of graphic novels). I'm rambling. --Graham 17:57, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)
I always assumed it was a man too, until the guide referred to herself as Minerva / Athena. But I guess her condescending tone fits the role well, right? ;) --Campaignjunkie 23:03, 2 Sep 2005 (PDT)
I doubt Minerva is the man/woman's actual name. After all, (s)he's meant to be far older than any of this petty 'humanity' stuff. --TomEdwards 00:18, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)
Cancel that, "technology and violence are a girl's best friends". ;-) --TomEdwards 00:28, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)
Do continue with the plot speculation, I'm enjoying it immensely! Key questions: who (and what) is the message-sender? Who is the player? What is beneath the island? Speculate away!
Oh, and many thanks to everyone for the comments - I'm stunned by the overwhelmingly positive response the map's had so far... --Cargo Cult 08:37, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)
Seeing as you mentioned SS2/Marathon on the wiki page, I predict he/she/it's going to go rampant and the player will have to use some sekrit Combine device underground to restore her back to her old cynical self. But maybe I'm just crazy! :) --Campaignjunkie 11:31, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)
I'd hate to see an HL2 map delivered in hex... --TomEdwards 11:55, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Hehe, I pressganged my younger brother into playing. He wanted to turn the music off and spent at least ten minutes trying to get through through the underground... --TomEdwards 08:18, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Today I let my 6 year old son play it, liked it so much I had to pull him away.--wisemx 08:46, 3 Sep 2005 (PDT)

Is there supposed to be messages? Because I hear the ZX beep and don't get anything :'(
