info_null is a point entity available in all Source Source games.

It is removed as soon as it spawns. It is primarily useful as a target for pointing lights at. Another possibility is to use it during map development as a way of keeping location-based notes within the VMF file, using the entity's comments box.

Icon-Important.pngImportant:Because this entity isn't removed on compile, it still counts toward the edict limit for a split second until removed on map spawn
Cpp.pngCode Fix:Remove the LINK_ENTITY_TO_CLASS() that connects info_null to CNullEntity in 🖿game/server/subs.cpp. This will cause an error to be logged in the console on map load, but the info_null will not be initialized, and therefore will never count as an edict.
