Note:DirectX 9 is required for Competitive Mode.
Note:* - Technically, this game is still playable on Windows XP and Vista (and once used to be supported on those operating systems), however support for Steam for these operating systems has been dropped as of 2019, and with TF2 having the Steam API updated later that year, thus these operating systems are automatically no longer supported from running TF2. Windows 7 and 8, 8.1 support will be also dropped soon in 2024.
Note:As the game received updates over time, the system requirements listed on Steam is now massively out of date as the Pentium 4 and systems with 2GB RAM (both, which is listed on Recommended requirements on Steam), will struggled to run the game properly with average FPS at 8-15.

Team Fortress 2 is the follow-up to both
Team Fortress Classic and the original
Quake mod,
Team Fortress.
Unlike other "class-based" games that offer a variety of combat classes only, Team Fortress 2 packs a wild variety of classes which provide a broad range of tactical abilities and personalities, and lend themselves to a variety of player skills.
Play as the flame-throwing Pyro, the room-clearing Heavy, or the Spy, a master of disguises. Other classes include: Scout, Sniper, Medic, Engineer, Demoman, and Soldier.
As of February 2023, there have been 759 updates since the game's release.
