Talk:Move track
Could somebody at least give me some kind of a clue to what this entity does, like does "keyframe" mean that it has something to do with ropes? It's not easy just fumbling about in the dark when trying to research it. --Andreasen 13:30, 22 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- Keyframe basically means an important point along a path or motion. move_tracks are basically the cousins of path_track, same general purpose and use but some work for some things while others work for others. Why do we still have move_tracks? Damnned if I know. --Angry Beaver 14:34, 22 Sep 2007 (PDT)
- Thank you, but these entities doesn't even recognize func_tracktrain entities at all (and not rope entities either), and you might find this in-game message particularly disturbing: "Attempted to create unknown entity type move_track! Can't init move_track" Also, there are no tutorials or information about these entities on the net. Edit Life considers this (and the keyframe_track entity) deprecated. I'd say that these entities simply doesn't work, and that Valve just forgot to remove them when they moved on to the path_track entities. --Andreasen 15:41, 22 Sep 2007 (PDT)
