I've been able to apply decals to displacment maps. You've just gotta make sure they line up with where the face actually ends up. Hammer will only show it rendered where the face would be originally if at all. they work in game jsut not in Hammer. Angry Beaver 21:29, 7 Jul 2006 (PDT)

Input?

Um... why exactly does it have an input if the entity can't have a targetname?--Darthkillyou 18:21, 9 Aug 2007 (PDT)

Ahhh... nevermind. Someone should have added that in before!--Darthkillyou 18:23, 9 Aug 2007 (PDT)

Edit?

Hmm what was edited here?--Gear 05:41, 15 Aug 2007 (PDT)

If you refer to recent edits, I'm asking Tom the same question here. --Andreasen 07:14, 15 Aug 2007 (PDT)

Decal

How do you apply decals on models?

Check the material creation page - decals on models must have specific VMT parameters, so you can't use regular decals on a model. --Pandaboy 02:58, 17 November 2011 (PST)

This how infodecal works

Note.pngNote: Counter-Strike: Source If you place this entity infodecal in your map with targetname,

it keep image hidden at the beginning of map start, also entity itself not get destroyed (yet).
Using entity input Activate show hidden image and destroy entity as well. This work once on map load.

  • To show image instantly on map, clear targetname .

Hopefully somebody not remove this good explanation.

I removed it because it's already covered on Decals. I said that in the summary, so I'm sorry if you missed it. --Blixibon (talk) 14:45, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
