Hybrid Hybrid is a multiplayer third-person shooter for the Xbox 360, set in a post-apocalyptic world where alien Variants and human Paladins battle for control of dark matter. The game features a unique cover-based movement system where players use jetpacks to fly between cover positions rather than moving freely around the map. Matches are set in various locations on a persistent world map, where winning will advance one team's control of that region.

Since 2024 or earlier, the game's servers appear to no longer be online, as attempting to pass the title screen will throw an error (even with an Xbox Live Gold subscription). The actual shutdown may have occurred earlier than this, but exact dates and whether or not there was an accompanying announcement are currently unknown. Additionally, the game can no longer be purchased since the shutdown of the Xbox 360 Marketplace, and does not appear to be available through backwards compatibility on newer Xbox consoles.

Hybrid is unique in that it is the only Source or GoldSrc game to be entirely exclusive to a console (not counting ports with bonus content like Portal: Still Alive). This led to it mostly flying under the radar in Source communities for many years - this wiki page didn't even exist until 2025, over a decade after the game's original release. In recent years, some attempts have been made at understanding the game's internals, but this is made difficult by the fact that it is an online-only console game with shut down servers, so still very little is known. That being said, existing tools that support Source console formats like BSPSource and MareTF can be used to view and extract game assets and decompile maps for viewing on PC.
