Hunt Down the Freeman (HDTF) is an infamous 2018 Half-Life fangame running on
Source 2013. It was critically panned due to its numerous bugs, poor design, and the game's developers not being paid. The game features a parkour mechanic, which the player can use to scale pipes, crates, and other large objects. The developers was also accused of using assets from other games (such as Garry's Mod's Steam Workshop) without permission from the original creator.
April 1st, 2022: A dev build (known as M3SA build) was released, which fixes many of the game's bugs and design flaws, and beta branches (including a newer OWF build) were opened that continued to fix and optimize the game.
September 12, 2022: An update patched "the stuff we didn’t catch in the April 1st update" and switched the engine version to
Source 2013 Multiplayer to allow smaller BSP file sizes.

December 29, 2022: A dev blog detailing their progress on the game was posted, showing their progress in new visuals and FMOD support.
