Usage

Use this template on user page if the user has been banned/blocked from editing.

Parameters

Parameter	Description	Example	Result
No Parameters	This should be used in most cases.	{{Banned spammer}}	This user has been banned for  spamming pages and/or  advertising. Additional notes: If this user has been banned for other reasons than spam or advertisement, or using the {{Banned spammer}}, replace this with {{Banned user}} instead, with actual reasons specified. The {{Banned spammer}} template (which is used to display this notice) was kept in order to avoid issues with User:VDCBot, which replaces the user page with banned message.
{{{nocat}}}	To prevent the adding of the Category:Banned spammer category. Does not change anything visibly. Only use this if you want to preview the template.	{{Banned spammer|nocat=1}}	This user has been banned for  spamming pages and/or  advertising. Additional notes: If this user has been banned for other reasons than spam or advertisement, or using the {{Banned spammer}}, replace this with {{Banned user}} instead, with actual reasons specified.
