They are the defense systems of [[Black Mesa]], but they seem to attack anyone, including [[npc_human_scientist|scientists]], [[npc_human_security|guards]], [[npc_headcrab|headcrabs]], and the player. The sentry turrets are seen to lower out of the ceiling, with yellow caution stripes around it.
