The Tau Cannon fires beams of Tau particles. The weapon has two different fire modes. The first shoots tau particles semi-automatically, visible as yellow beams in the air. The alt-fire mode charges up the weapon to fire more powerful white-hot beams. This can be replenished by {{ent|ammo_gaussclip (GoldSrc)|alt=ammo_gaussclip}}.

weapon_gauss is a point entity available in Half-Life Half-Life, Half-Life: Opposing Force Half-Life: Opposing Force, and Half-Life: Blue Shift Half-Life: Blue Shift. The Tau Cannon fires beams of Tau particles. The weapon has two different fire modes. The first shoots tau particles semi-automatically, visible as yellow beams in the air. The alt-fire mode charges up the weapon to fire more powerful white-hot beams. This can be replenished by ammo_gaussclip.
