This isn't a wiki on how to model. If you need to learn basic modelling for XSI then search somewhere else. Once you are able to model you'll be able to use the information here to help you take your model and use it in the Source engine. | |||

I'm looking for a list of available banner templates on this wiki
I've found an entity description which is completly broken, false with a lot of keyvalues and flags missing, I need to add a banner to it. Is there a list of banners available somewhere?--Hurricaaane (Talk) 08:53, 24 Feb 2008 (PST)
- When you say banner, do you mean template (such as: {{kv_targetname}} ?) If so then I believe that, at the moment, the only list with keyvalues/inputs/outputs templates is the one on the Help:Editing page. I think there is no comprehensive list of template messages currently available on the wiki. --Etset 14:15, 24 Feb 2008 (PST)
- Actually it's banners I'm looking for, not formatting templates. Like This article is a stub, or this page needs to be cleaned up, etc.--Hurricaaane (Talk) 02:37, 26 Feb 2008 (PST)
- Here's a few banner templates I know of: {{stub}}, {{pov}}, {{cleanup}}, {{tutorial cleanup}}, translation templates, merge templates, deletion templates. --Etset 03:07, 26 Feb 2008 (PST)
- Weird, I thought they were always called notices. Matthew Dryden 09:58, 25 Mar 2008 (PDT)

Translating Valve Developer Community
Hi, is possible to translate the Valve Developer Community's articles in Italian?
- Of course! Go ahead and do it. :-) Remember to create the pages at <English name>:it, and use the otherlang templates. --TomEdwards 09:53, 7 Apr 2008 (PDT)

Syntax Highlighting
Hello. Why don't you use some syntax highlighting MW extension? It's better than still using <span style="color: blue;">#include</span> <iostream>. The best is SyntaxHighlight GeSHi.
Website Name
hey, i found this wiki when looking for how to use the level editor in TF2, and find it hard to remember the website name... is there a different URL, instead of http://developer.valvesoftware.com/w/index.php?--Pyromancer 21:55, 17 Jul 2008 (PDT)
- You can use developer.valvesoftware.com. It'll forward you to the main page. Solokiller 04:27, 18 Jul 2008 (PDT)

Download the whole wiki!?!
Is There needs to be a way to download the whole wiki in a pdf format so that we can view it offline. Is there something like this and I am missing it?
- Not possible. You'd just have to copy / paste all the pages (or atleast the ones you need) yourself. --DannyS 00:08, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- It actually is possible, one of the guys over on the Blender Wiki did something like this several months ago, turned the whole English section of the wiki manual into one large PDF. I've run across a few methods myself, the problem is there's certain drawbacks to the different approaches. You would either end up placing a very high load on VALVe's servers (not sure they'd be happy with that) or would require direct access to the WiKi's server files themselves, something currently limited to VALVe personnel, IIRC. --brandished 04:28, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
