Grey Source is a modified version of the Half-Life 1 engine. The Grey Source codebase was used by The Phoenix Project Software for Lost and Dead Classic and early prototype builds of [[Half-Life: Cross Product]] (formerly Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours). Grey Source 2019 was used for LADC and is currently no longer being developed.

It was created in 2019 with an updated version, Grey Source 2021, having been created in 2020. Grey Source 2019 was used for Lost and Dead Classic and Grey Source 2021 was used for early prototype builds of Half-Life: Cross Product Half-Life: Cross Product. Since late 2020, it has been discontinued. It was succeeded by Aura Aura, which was released in 2021 and used by Half-Life: Cross Product Multiplayer Half-Life: Cross Product Multiplayer.
