Gearbox Software is a Dallas-Fort Worth Texas video game developer founded in January 1999. They are best known for a number of high-profile PC games such as Brothers In Arms: Road to Hill 30, Borderlands series and the Half-Life expansions Half-Life: Opposing Force and Blue Shift. They are also known for co-developing the infamous Duke Nukem Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines which both suffered from
development hell (long development time).
