Counter-Strike: Source Beta was an open beta version of the game Counter-Strike: Source released on 8 May 2010. It used to upgrade the game to the Orange Box branch Orange Box branch (Source 2009), and included many additional features similar to Team Fortress 2. The beta was developed in conjunction with Hidden Path Entertainment, who later known for co-developing a Counter-Strike: Source port for consoles that was later turned into a new Counter-Strike game, called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive CS:GO alongside Valve. It was finished and released in Jun 23, 2010.
