TALK!

Now is that de_dust guy for CS:S or goldsource? coz I thought the guy that made the one for goldsource died...—ts2do (Talk | @) 18:02, 28 Nov 2005 (PST)

  • It's DaveJ, who designed it For goldsource (that's hl1 engine right?). died? well, then someone else must be writing in his blog (last entry 27/11/05) on http://www.johnsto.co.uk/ :) - RP

BTW: how do make it that everytime that I edit something, it adds my name and time (like you have)? - i'm really new to this whole Wiki thing, atm i'm adding it manually, but there must be some way to make automaticlly - RP

  • Click the second button from the right when you're editing, or type:   --~~~~    S'how I do it. --AndrewNeo 18:23, 28 Nov 2005 (PST)

  • From now on, no more killing, only peace & love --RP 19:09, 28 Nov 2005 (PST)

You might be interested in the "Show preview" button when making edits. By getting in the habit of always previewing changes before submitting them, you'll catch minor mistakes before making them public. There's even an option in the user preferences ("Show preview on first edit") to automatically do a preview. —Maven (talk) 17:04, 29 Nov 2005 (PST)

Don't HL2MP, CS:S, and DOD:S all require HL2 installed?—ts2do (Talk | @) 17:15, 1 Jan 2006 (PST)

  • I believe HL2MP is the only one that requires HL2 to be installed, because don't forget you can buy DOD:S and CS:S seperately. Steam can still download the shared Source GCF files. --AndrewNeo 17:53, 1 Jan 2006 (PST)
  • it has to...HL2MP maps use hl2 models...—ts2do (Talk | @) 17:59, 1 Jan 2006 (PST)
    • Still, it's possible for buying for 10$ individually, my guess is that it will download the entire HL2 sp content, excluding the maps.
Btw, I've an idea (for Valve :P), what do you think about a MOD package? for lets 15$ you'll get the Source SDK and all the content needed to create mods. So people who wants to play certain mods (or to create mods), but doesn't want to pay 40$ for hl2 will be able to do that.--RP 18:07, 1 Jan 2006 (PST)

Yes sorry about that massive editing, I previewed it, liked it and suddenly noticed that the link was doing crazy things just after I posted it. --Black Panther 10:21, 2 Jan 2006 (PST)
