Hello Mike, good to have you in the community. I have some feature requests that I would like to propose once you have got this SDK update out the door ^Ben 14:39, 26 Jul 2006 (PDT)

Hello, good to see an offical face to this, just wondering how much if any time you spend working on the tools yourself, just feeling curious :). I'm sure you've noticed the large ammounts of bugs/features requested, heh, probably makes the position quite intimedating. All I have to say is aslong as you do something, it doesn't matter how long it takes. Your a step in the right direction and good contact to have. Looking forward to us getting some of things done that need getting done and seeing how we can help each other out, I think you'll find a more than willing work force in the mod community itself if ever becomes an issue. --Angry Beaver 18:00, 26 Jul 2006 (PDT)

Could you please post the Bugzilla link somewhere a bit more noticable? I found it on the current events page, it should probably be posted at the top of the (locked) SDK bugs list, and probably on the front page. And welcome to the community, hope we keep you busy! --AndrewNeo 21:48, 6 Sep 2006 (PDT)

Hi Mike, is there going to be another quick fix release for the SDK? Jupix 07:04, 13 Nov 2007 (PST)

Datacache.dll errors

Hello Mike and welcome to the community. Im a new user so im not the best at making things the correct way however i wanted to ask you for a quick favor: Do you know what causes the Datacache error? It usally causes my maps to completely break down and the error causes HL2 to close. It is listed in a windows error log report.---MrTwoVideoCards 11:17, Sep 6 2006 (PDT)

So you are still having the cache problem? I thought it had been fixed. Have you searched the Steam support pages with the text in the error message? --Andreasen 23:34, 6 Sep 2006 (PDT)

Ep1 citadel

For some odd reason i cant seem to get the ep1 citadel card model to work correctly. It doesn't appear at all even though i have no fade distances set to it nor the dx level fade. EP1 content works correctly on my mod. Even to test this I've used an ep1 map and the citadel appears correctly. So i am a bit confused as to what makes this thing tick.--Gear 03:25, 2 Aug 2007 (PDT)

Never mind it's all fixed.--Gear 15:26, 14 Nov 2007 (PST)

Doh.

Hey Mike. I'd just like to draw your attention to a note that I left on what I now think might be the wrong talk page [1]. Sorry! Matthew Dryden 11:30, 24 Mar 2008 (PDT)

Oh yeah I noticed this too when you left Jeff a message, while Jeff helps out, Mike is the main man to talk about wiki info here for, hes the wiki God here, :).--Gear 12:12, 24 Mar 2008 (PDT)

Particle Docs

I see you're adding Particle Editor Docs to VDC, Much thanks and keep up the good work man! (You deserve tons more credit than you get ;) ) --JakeB 19:16, 2 Jul 2008 (PDT)

The new category needs adding to SDK Docs. Cheers! --TomEdwards 00:56, 4 Jul 2008 (PDT)

Head Admin

Are you, or is someone else the head admin here? PatPeter 23:30, 31 Oct 2008 (PDT)

I don't think there is a 'head' admin, I believe all Valve employees have the same level. Besides, only Jefflane, MikeD, TonyS only check here. The rest have.... --Craziestdan 07:59, 1 Nov 2008 (PDT)

l4d

Look what I found in the left4dead.exe binary:

d:\dev\mdurand_work2\Left4Dead_staging\src\launcher_main\Release\default.pdb

In a earlier binary it was this:

d:\l4d\src\launcher_main\Release\default.pdb

Why is this in the final build? --Ysangkok 15:02, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Sysop on the wiki?

I was just wondering if only Valve employees get sysop on this wiki, or if it is not restricted to that. [Pro-X]LikeLakers2 (talk | My Wikipedia userpage (talk)) 13:16, 5 November 2011 (PDT)
