FYI, a complete list of all templates is here (2 pages). --pizzahut 07:45, 17 Jan 2009 (PST)
Moving pages
You should be moving (renaming) pages with the Move tab at the top of the page, not by copying and pasting the contents of the page. Doing that destroys the page's edit history and does not automatically move the Talk page with it or create an automatic redirect. --JeffLane 16:46, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- The reason I didn't move the page was I didn't want to drag all the redirects over to the new page, as I was planning on continuing to use the old page. I realized there were some talk pages that were being left, and I tried to copy those over as well, but I didn't know the move tool retained the edit history. I'll keep that if I decide to relocate any more page contents. --brandished 18:06, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, the correct method is to move the page and then change the redirect afterwards if the original page needs to be used for something else besides a redirect. --JeffLane 20:36, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Categories
Further to the note on my talk page can you please restore the Category:Entities edits you made to the NPCs. Thanks.--Fitzroy doll 23:44, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Dark Messiah page
Yeah, one step ahead of you, already put a link on the DM page. As for the level link I don't think it's hurting anyone being there, if anything Dark Messiah could use a few more users, lol. The article isn't finished, for example you cannot use Half-Life 2 content in the game. As for more tutorials, I dunno yet. I'm somewhat working on a Dark Messiah mod. Let's see how that goes first. -- IceIYIaN 31 March 2009
Blender modeling
very nice work on the blender tutorial, but I was wondering if you have ever managed to make a viewmodel with blender. I've been trying for 2 full days now but for some reason I cannot get it to work properly, any chance you ever did that, and if you did, maybe make a tutorial or video or something? --Biglines 18:26, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I don't have any experience creating view models and haven't seen any tutorials for doing view models with Blender either. Best place I can think to try would be the SDK Help forums, ModDB forums, Blender Artists, or possibly #Blender or #BlenderChat on Freenode. --brandished 19:21, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Hammer Editor version history
The article above contains all the information I'm looking for but I'm not allowed by my school to use Wikis as a source. Do you know were I can find this information in another place? Sertion 18:26, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- Wow, 2010... Well, for anyone else that should need this information in the future, yes, schools generally are not going to allow wikis as a source for research papers. What teachers want instead are the primary sources wiki articles are based off of. For sites like wikipedia you can usually find the sources at the bottom of the article, but in the case of the linked Hammer article, I don't remember there being any references before I salvaged it from wikipedia (which may have played a large part of why it was deleted there). My recommendation, at least for the older history info near the beginning, would be something like Google's book search (books.google.com). The relevant keyword info for searching would be either "Ben Morris Worldcraft" or maybe "Ben Morris Quake". The latter parts of that article (I believe) came from Valve's official release notes. --brandished (talk) 23:12, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
