It's an unfinished grenade that is going to be used in EP2 and certainly kills Striders quite efficient. It's not hard to fix the grenade, I've done it myself. --dutchmega 07:03, 22 Aug 2006 (PDT)

Nobody except Valve can say if this is really going to be used in EP2. But it's probably, especially after the interviews where they say they'll add a new weapon that kills striders. --dutchmega 07:41, 22 Aug 2006 (PDT)

Yes, but today, watching the fifth gameplay trailer, we can conclude that that weapon is a little different. I personally don't think they would provide TWO grenade type weapons capable of killing Striders, but that's a possibility too, if they keep confronting the player with that many Striders. --Andreasen 20:52, 9 Sep 2006 (PDT)

How do you get the hopwire to work in multiplayer? I got it to work in a single player mode however, when i included the same files in a multiplayer mod the hopwire crashes.--TheDonald 17:16, 4 Aug 2008 (PDT)

First people say that hopwire is going was only for Episode 1, and now people say it's only for Episode 2. I tried it in Episode 1, and none of the commands work. It smells of troll myth. I'll ask Jeff Lane. --MossyBucket (formerly Andreasen) 22:55, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

It did work fine in episode one. If it's gone now, that's probably due to the past engine update. --Biohazard 23:03, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
