Talk:Response System
This is my first document attempt for the response system. I couldn't find information out of response_rules.txt. If you know there is a tutorial, please let me know. I want to learn more about this system. And if you think something is missing, or notice my misunderstandings, please feel free to edit/add the article.
I've just made my first NPC into the response system. So far it steps back with Alyx's voice, and yells in Barney's voice... Well, I'm now trying to figure out how to bring new voiceovers and make new .VCD scenes with them. I'll add some more when I succeed this.N-neko
- We definitely need a step by step tutorial for this. The article is more or less an information dump, and that's only really good for reference. --TomEdwards 07:08, 7 Aug 2005 (PDT)
- Thanks for your feedback. I'm trying to reconstruct this article. I hope to add a step-by-step guide.N-neko
Long lines
Just a formatting note - on Safari and Firefox, the 'code' sections don't have line-wrapping, making long lines meander off several miles to the right. I've no idea what a sensible replacement is, but the need to scroll horizontally isn't too good... --Cargo Cult 05:49, 1 Aug 2005 (PDT)

Global criteria
Is it possible to specify criteria that are required by every rule in the script file? It'd save a lot of typing! --TomEdwards 11:25, 25 Feb 2007 (PST)
