Aren't keyframe_rope and move_rope completely interchangeable? I think that part of the page needs to be updated to reflect that. --Tiny Desk Engineer

No, move_rope entities are the first rope to use and keyframe_rope entities are for the rest of your rope path. Also, don't forget to add your signature. --Mandrew (talk) 01:21, 28 May 2022 (PDT)

I've only recently learnt that move_rope is even an entity in Source, I've always started cables with keyframe_rope. Also, The page for move_rope says that they're functionally identical and can be freely interchanged. --Tiny Desk Engineer

The move_rope and keyframe_rope talk pages both mention that move_rope and keyframe_rope use the same C++ class, and also says that a cable can be made entirely of either one of the entities. --TinyDeskEngineer (talk) 19:28, 30 May 2022 (PDT)
