Talk:Exporting a model/XSI

Can somebody please freaking help me? I'm about to pull my hair out. Never in my life have I been so frustrated. Tried registering on the forums and i'm not activated yet.

I've been trying to get a proper SMD file out of XSI for hours. After spending 8 hours learning softimage today and getting my animation ready, the export screws up. I've tried the steps here and I can't get the merge to not show a red error and say something about improper objects for that operation.

Softimage is THE WORST 3D software I've ever used, and I've coded my own 3D modeling studio from scratch using C++, and softimage is too hard for me to figure out. I'm about to throw my mac book across the room.
