A lot of legal terms come about here, but if you are making a free source mod, you don't need to pay a dime.[Clarify] Here are some tips to disclose proper legal notices:

Put the notices in a start-up video

Just use a bink video file in startupvids.txt with the source legals and you are good to go. However, for extra points you can do a mockup in photoshop or GIMP and use that instead.
